FRANCO BELGE
Young, talented and enthusiastic; Dries Cracco and Tomas Puype cannot be described as typecast.
These two young chefs became great friends, over ten years ago, while studying at Ter Groene Poorte Bruges.
Their passion for the culinary art, and especially their preference for pure and honest cooking, both classic and world, secured a strong bond.
After their studies they each made their own way as chefs, gaining experience in a number of acclaimed restaurants.
Tomas worked in, Auberge De Herborist in Bruges, Restaurant Jardin in Knokke, A’qi in Bruges, and Sans Cravate in Bruges.
Dries, meanwhile was chef in Restaurant Jardin in Knokke, L’Esco in Wetteren and Boury in Roeselare.
During this time they shared a dream that they would one day join forces and run a kitchen based on their own vision of great food.
Anno 2016, dreams become reality, in restaurant Franco Belge.
Franco Belge is the place to be for lovers of traditional French –Belgium cooking with a contemporary twist. This translates, itself into the unique atmosphere, of the restaurant combining the authenticity of Old Bruges, with tasteful, trendy, and modern.
